Steht man vor der Installation denkt man sofort an Sommer, Hitze, Ferien, Schwimmbäder, in der Sonne grell leuchtende Farben.
Birte Bossse kreiert aus bunten Schwimmnudeln individuelle schrille Objekte und bildet daraus eine Installation, die wie ein Wimmelbild eines im Sommer überfüllten öffentlichen Freibads oder wie ein dichter farbenfroher Urwald anmutet.
Die Künstlerin geht in ihren Arbeiten fast immer von der Zeichnung aus, wobei Zeichnung und Skulptur sich in ihren Arbeiten gegenseitig bedingen – der Prozess ist die Idee und umgekehrt.
Birte Bosse transformiert die bunten Schwimmnudeln aus synthetischem Schaumstoff zu einem modernen Bildhauermaterial, das sowohl zeichnerisches als auch malerisches Potential hat – flexibel, biegsam, leicht und spielerisch zu bearbeiten.

Standing in front of the installation, one immediately thinks of summer, heat, vacations, swimming pools, colors glaring in the sun.
Birte Bossse creates individual shrill objects from colorful swimming noodles and forms an installation from them, which appears like a hidden object scene of a public outdoor pool overcrowded in the summer or like a dense colorful jungle.
The artist almost always takes drawings as her starting point, with drawing and sculpture mutually dependent in her work – the process is the idea and vice versa.
Birte Bosse transforms the colorful swimming noodles made of synthetic foam into a modern sculpture material that has both drawing and painting potential – flexible, pliable, easy and playful to work with.
