’nothing gets lost‘ by Monika Huber

In the 80s Monika Huber became known with her picture installations: different materials were assembled to a picture in the  space – the space becomes a central component of the picture.
In the installation „nothing gets lost“ Monika Huber again refers to her former works, however, under use of a newly added material, painted Perspex. The pictures of the series „mäander, mirror and snow“ are deconstructed and assembled into a new context. The reflecting effect of the glass surfaces is also  a new element of perception. Regardless of the direction into which a picture is structured or whether it is  assembled to a finished or to a fragmented picture, the space in the picture becomes always newly defined.
