Ausgehend von der Turmruine der Berliner Kaiser-Wilhelm-Ged\u00e4chtniskirche \u2013 im Berliner Volksmund als \u201eHohler Zahn\u201c bekannt \u2013 und dem erg\u00e4nzenden Kirchenneubau Egon Eiermanns aus den 1960er Jahren, entwickelt die 1984 in Erfurt geborene K\u00fcnstlerin Christin Kaiser eine neue textile Skulptur, die ihre Besch\u00e4ftigung mit konservativen Architektur-Rekonstruktionen weiterf\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We need ruins, we need wounds, we need fa\u00e7ades that tell of broken history. Starting from the tower ruin of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin \u2013 popularly known as the \u201eHollow Tooth\u201c \u2013 and the adjoining new church building by Egon Eiermann from the 1960s, the artist Christin Kaiser, born in Erfurt in 1984, develops a new textile sculpture.
