Berlin is under construction. There is close-down, rebuilding and opening. Now Berlin-weekly.com has to bite the dust. The showcase of the small gallery in Berlin-Mitte is boarded up. A sheet of paper is glued to the wood-panels, that now blocks the view inside the showroom. COMING SOON is written on that paper. The boards were quickly and carelessly fixed. A golden glimmer of light is coming out of the slits. The curious can peek through them and see the inside of the room. The new often promises to be the better one. In the installation COMING SOON Christina Hoenicke and Jana Barthel show a vision of the future.

ngg_shortcode_0_placeholder

COMING SOON by Christina Hoenicke and Jana Barthel 2012 (OSB boards, blankets, fluorescent tube, props) www.tu-buehnenbild.de, www.gonzalezhaase.com, www.katerlezmann.com This project has been developed within a light design workshop of the TU Berlin.
